THE DESIGN
Each earring begins with a hand-forged, hammered and polished 14kt gold fill hoop — 1 1/2 inches at its widest point — wire wrapped with yards of 14kt gold filled and oxidized sterling silver wires.
Gold filled chain drapes along the bottom of each hoop, while oxidized silver coils intersperse the gold wires for a stunning play of light and dark.
At the center, a 12mm mystic spinel briolette anchors the design, flanked by an 11mm silver pyrite briolette. Faceted rounds of mystic black spinel dangle between 7mm faceted pyrite briolettes, all wire wrapped and mounted on sterling silver ball headpins.
The result is a richly layered, multi-gemstone composition that catches the light from every angle.
Total length: 2 7/8 inches, including oxidized sterling silver ear wires.
