Rhodolite Garnet and Pearl Silk Knotted Necklace 2
A large, 16 mm x 9 mm, rhodolite garnet faceted teardrop gemstone dangles as a pendant, on a rose gold fill ring, from a handmade, silk knotted necklace combining cinnamon brown hued freshwater pearls with faceted garnet gemstone rondelles to create this January birthstone necklace.
The rondelles are very sparkly and beautifully faceted, and they feature many of the colors garnet are found in. Often these gemstones are referred to as "tunduru sapphires" but they are garnets.
The rhodolite garnet is a rich, evenly saturated mulberry, plum shade that is stunning. It is a large size, measuring 16 mm long by 9 mm wide.
The wire is finished with a rose gold filled wire coil attaching it to the rose gold fill ring.
The necklace is strung on beige silk cord, and I have tried to hide most of the knots so as not to compete with the beautiful pearls and gemstones. Here and there you will see a small knot in beige.
Comfortable on the skin and so easy to wear, this handmade necklace closes with a rose gold fill lobster clasp and rose gold filled extender chain.
Necklace measures 17 to 18 inches long with the extender chain. So pretty!
