These super sparkling handmade 14 kt gold filled hoop earrings are quite glamorous with their vibrant, purple amethyst gemstone colors.

Lots of shimmer and sparkle from the amethyst gemstone teardrop briolettes and gleaming gold filled wires give these hoop earrings their beguiling allure.

I hammered 14kt gold filled thick wires to create these hoops; wire wrapped 14kt gold filled chains along the bottoms of the hoops and wire wrapped the sparkling purple amethyst rondelles up the sides of the hoops.

Dangling on the lower chains are faceted teardrops of purple amethyst briolettes, and faceted pink amethyst rondelles dangle in between, mounted on gold vermeil ball headpins.  

Centering the earrings are more amethyst teardrop briolettes.

Total length of earrings, including the fancy gold vermeil over sterling silver ear posts, is 2 1/2 inches long. Hoops are 1 1/4 inches at their widest point, including the rondelles.
